Hardy Bros. Featherweight & Extra Spool ~ 2 7/8 ~ LHW ~ EXC ~ This light line classic from Hardys Lightweight series is a gem of simplicity. This series of reels have been on the market for about half a century and during that time they have sold huge numbers worldwide. It features easy-to-change spools, single screw line guard, 2-screw latch plate cover and can be converted from LHW to RHW. It is currently set up for LHW and is loaded with backing and WF-2 line. The extra spool has a tiny nick in one edge that is purely cosmetic and does not affect performance. Comes with a black suede zip-case.

Hardy 1903 Bougle Reproduction
~ 2 1/2 (3 from pillar to pillar) ~ RHW ~ SN JWSUSA676 ~ New ~ These fine English made reproduction classics were last made in the late 1990s. The Bougle was derived from the historically significant Hardy Perfect and features a solid winding plate and ventilated spool accented by ivorine winding knob. The simpleness of the adjustable single click and pawl drag system and smoothness of the ball bearings combine to make that classic hardy sound that is unmistakable when heard on the river. Comes with the original Hardy embossed block leather case and box.
Marryat Model MR7A & Extra Spool
~ 2 9/16 ~ LHW/RHW ~ SN 010571 ~ EXC+ ~ This sweet-looking reel with gold anodized finish features a silent retrieve check, quick-release spool, 4-screw foot, and drag adjustment knob. Virtually no rim wear but a few light nicks hairline scratches are present on the back plate. Presently set up for LHW. Comes with an extra spool and paperwork. $125

Orvis CFO II ~ 2 9/16 ~ AS NEW ~ This English-made spring & pawl classic from the 1970s has been the choice of technical and discriminating fly fisherman since 1971. The CFO II is rated for 0-3 wt fly lines and features an easy-to-change quick release spool and can be converted from LHW to RHW, 2screw latch cover, and 2-screw ventilated foot assembly. It is currently set up for LHW and comes loaded with a new WF-4 light mist line and backing. Brown suede zip case with sheepskin interior. CFO II are highly desirable and rarely seen, especially in this condition!
Heaton
~ 2 3/4 ~ LHW/RHW ~ EXC ~ This quality-built non-branded classic has the 6 pin foot to frame construction and knurled-edge rims that are hallmark features of Heaton fly reels. The workings include an early check with a nicely blued spring. Works just as well RHW as LHW (presently set up for LHW) with a very pleasing sounding retrieve and pay. This reel is as tight as a drum! Comes loaded with a small amount of white backing and stored in a tan pull-string satchel. Heaton reels are becoming increasingly harder to find. This one gives a touch a class and vintage look from yesteryear when paired with 6' to 7 1/2' bamboo rods. Line shown in the pictures not included. $175 (trades encouraged!)
Ballan Lightweight ~ 2 7/8 ~ LHW/RHW ~ EXC ~ This quality-built light weight reel has a very pleasing classic look that matches perfectly with bamboo rods. The check makes a wonderful sound on the retrieve that just exudes quality and the half-handle crank is a nice touch for the traditionalist. The 7/8 spool width will accommodate 4 wt. to 6 wt. fly lines. This model retails for $495. Get this one for half that. Line shown in the pictures not included. $225
Orvis Battenkill BBS III w/ Extra Spool ~ 3 ~ #4 to 7 lines ~ LHW/RHW ~ EXC ~ This elegant looking Battenkill Bar Stock reel in a titanium finish is a whole-lotta reel and a great value for the price. If is machined from aircraft grade 6262-T6 aluminum and features a wide-range adjustable off-set disc drag system and can easily be converted from LHW to RHW. It is currently set up for LHW. The reel is loaded with backing. Comes with the original Orvis labeled zip case (reel) and pouch (extra spool), original reel and spool boxes, and paperwork. $125

This is an early model with perforated 2-screw foot assembly, 2-screw latch plate, and 2-screw metal line guard, and adjustable drag. The CFO III is rated for 3 to 6 wt fly lines and features an easy-to-change quick release spool and can be easily be converted from LHW to RHW. It is currently set up for LHW and comes loaded with a new WF-5 light mist line and backing. Tan suede zip case with sheepskin interior. The reel looks like new and the mechanics purr like kitten.

Orvis Battenkill 5/6
~ 3 1/8 ~ LHW/RHW ~ EXC ~ This English-made classic from Orvis is packed with features at an economical price. There is some minor nicks and rim rash from normal use. It features a dual spring and pawl drag system with adjustable knob, an easy-to-change quick release spool, 2-screw foot, 2-screw latch plate, and single screw line guard. It is currently set up for LHW and can be converted from LHW to RHW. Rated for 5/6 wt fly lines but according to Orvis, can handle 4 wt lines to 7wt lines with the appropriate amount of backing. Comes loaded with backing and stored in its original Orvis labeled zip case.
Pflueger Progress No. 1535
~ 3 5/8 ~ RHW ~ EXC ~ This reel was made in Japan and features a green frame, gold painted spool, adjustable drag and comes loaded with WF-6 line and backing. Good reel for bass/and pan fish tubing with a 9' and 9.5 rod. $49
