Able TR Light ~ 2.5 ~ LHW/RHW ~ 1, 2 & 3 wt. lines ~ EXC+/As New ~ This high quality standard-arbor reel was first introduced in the early 1990s and reintroduced in the late 2000s. It features the upgraded special order black and blue cloud finish, ventilated spool, 2 screw quick-release latch plate cover,2-screw foot, Zebra wood handle, zebra-wood back plate insert, and silky smooth mechanics crafted from 303 heat treat stainless steel. Presently set up for LHW. Comes with Simms neoprene case. Finely-tuned and proudly made in the U.S.A. Superb!

Stuart ~ 3 ~ 4/5 wt lines ~ LHW/RHW ~ EXC - ~ This neat little reel is believed to have been made by the Stuart Mfg. CO. and features a ventilated spool and frame, 4-screw foot, and a brown ivroid handle. Smooth working mechanics. Can be used for LHW or RHW but has a bais for LHW. Comes with a cool leather drawstring pouch. A nice looking reel that really balances well with bamboo rods. $75
Hardy Bros. Uniqua & Extra Spool ~ 3 1/8 ~ RHW ~ 4/5/6 wt. lines ~ EXC - ~ This desirable sized classic from Hardy Bros features a ribbed brass foot quick release spool, and black ebonite handle. Smooth and tight mechanics give purr like a kitten. The reel has a nice patina with obvious visual indication of use and finish wear/loss. The extra spool appears unused. Comes with a silk line in excellent condition (maker/wt unknown), and a very cool vintage felt lined leather bag with zippered closure. Would look good on any bamboo rod. $395

Orvis Battenkill Disc 5/6 & 5 Extra Spools ~ 3 1/8 ~ LHW/RHW ~ VG+ ~ This English-made classic from Orvis is packed with features at an economical price. The reel and spools have some nicks and rim rash from normal use but the mechanics are in perfect working order. It features a smooth adjustable disc drag system, an easy-to-change quick release spool, 2-screw foot, 2-screw latch plate, and single screw line guard. It is currently set up for LHW. Rated for 5/6 wt fly lines but according to Orvis, can handle 4 to 7wt lines with the appropriate amount of backing. Three of the spools come loaded with backing. The reel and each spool are stored in their original Orvis labeled pull string pouch. $195
Hardy The St. George ~ 3 3/8" ~ RHW ~ VG ~ Nice Hardy Bros. classic featuring that classic gray frame and spool from the 1950s/1960s era with straight line writing on back plate, crack-free milky white agate line guide housed in nickel silver ring with Pat stamp on bottom of ring, silver drag tension adjuster screw, small gray ebonite winding knob with alloy post, dual-riveted straight silver foot, 2-screw latch plate cover and a silky smooth drag. The frame has edge wear and there are some nicks and surface scratches on the spool face and back plate. A quality-made reel that would look great on any bamboo fly rod. $295

Orvis DXR ~ 3 3/8 ~ LHW/RHW ~ 7/8 wt lines ~ VG+ ~ This workhorse reel features perforated spool with a 2-screw quick release latch plate, and an adjustable drag tensioner. Comes loaded with line and backing (not sure line type or wt). A nicely-built silky smooth reel.

Valentine Model 350 ~ 3 1/2 ~ RHW/LHW ~ 6/7 wt. lines ~ EXC+ ~ Valentine Tool & Stamping began production of their Planetary Fly Reels series in 1972. This unique planetary gear reel (the handle remains stationary on line pay-out) features classic post and flange construction from 6061 T6 machined aluminum alloy, infinitely adjustable and silky smooth drag and a comfortably contoured large knob. Comes in the gold anodized finish. Presently set up for RHW. Comes loaded with backing and stored in its original leather case (case has a small spot on it) and original box (box is a bit dirty). Hardy St. George MK2 & 2 Extra Spools ~ 3 3/4" RHW ~ As New ~ Wonderful Hardy Bros. classic featuring a gray Hardy enamel frame and spool with straight line writing on back plate, milky white agate line guide housed in nickel silver ring, two-screw latch cap, silver drag tension adjuster screw, small black ebonite winding knob with alloy post, riveted small alloy foot, and a silky smooth dual pawl and spring drag system. The frame and coin-edge rims show virtually no wear whatsoever. The reel comes loaded with backing and stored in its original Hardy labeled blue zippered case and original Hardy box. The extra spools are apparently unused and come with their Hardy plastic gear covers stored in their original boxes. Superb!$99 SPRING SALE $69Pflueger Medalist No. 1498 & Extra Spool ~ 4 ~ LHW/RHW ~ EXC+ ~ A very nice example this popular model featuring 2-screw ivory quick release latch plate cover, drag adjuster and handle and diamolite line guard. Near perfect cosmetically and mechanically tight with that hallmark sound on the retrieve. Presently set up for LHW. Comes loaded with Cortland 444SL WF-9F saltwater line and backing. The extra spool comes loaded with Cortland 444SL WF-10F saltwater line and backing and stored in an Orvis pouch. This low mileage classic is a perfect fit for 9 and larger bamboo rods and for almost any large water/large quarry locale.
